blog thoughts

october 2nd, 2025

holy shit i finally got this working to an extent. FOREVER thanking frankie for looking over my code and figuring out what i mess up :D

now that i have this working, i really do want to use it... so here we are! i started this entire process at work inspired by my frind and coworker, frankie. i'll link thier blog here at some point i swear. i am nowhere near even intermediate at html and css, but getting to design and teach myself based on some of the amazing resources i've found

getting to watch a new campaign of critical role feels so cathartic. it's silly how much i've grown to love this live play TTRPG. in the past 2 years i have held so tightly to these stories in the purest form of escapism. i don't have anyone to talk to about critical role or d20 so i'll probably have a lot to say lol. everything worked out so well that im free thursday nights, i never caught up on c3 so this is my first time watching live. its coming back now so i must be going.

2025

it's been a little bit since i've been on this little blog, it seems the hobby hopping might always be a thing. are we really surprised? i want to have a spot for all of my memories this year and realized thats literally what the point of a blog is. tomorrow is new years eve and every year it feels so hopeful and so hopeless. even when i think i'm not, maybe i am doing my best.

january 2026

2026!!!! i'm sick lol. this new year doesn't feel as daunting in some ways.

in december i began seeing someone named sam, we matched on hinge. i enjoy talking to them a lot. we have a lot in common, like somehow in the most insane coincidence their favorite musical is also great comet.for our third time hanging out she invited me to her apartment and we are just gonna hang out. she suggested we watch either great comet or she-ra, which is her favorite show i've been watching myself. i'll hopefully get to meet their cat too! my mom is having a pyrex swap on saturday the tenth in wildwood. i'm excited to look around the antique mall. then on sunday the eleventh sam and i will hang out. i think this is technically our third date, we talked about how we feel about dating and i know they aren't someone who will lead me on or waste either of our time.

the first book i'm reading this year is little women by lousia may alcott. i was enjoying it so much 20 pages in i bought myself a physical copy so i can annotate it and hopefully add and discover something new every time i reread it.

in march, paige, emily and i are flying to japan to visit kayla and john. i am more excited than i could express with words. we'll spend about 8 days there between the 13th and the 22nd, i'm not sure how to estimate travel time, i'll definitely need to work that out
